Open a model
Choose a .step or .stp file, or drag one onto the viewer. The file is parsed locally by OpenCascade. The included sample is a real 60 × 40 × 12 mm solid.
Move around the model
Drag to rotate, right-drag or Shift-drag to pan, and scroll to zoom. Touch screens support one-finger rotation and two-finger pan and pinch. Fit restores the centered perspective; Front and Top provide preset views.
Understand the dimensions
X, Y and Z describe the axis-aligned bounding box of the rendered mesh in millimeters. They are overall extents, not individual feature dimensions. Curved surfaces are tessellated, so dimensions are approximate.
Measure two points
Enable measuring and select two visible surface points. The result is the straight-line distance in millimeters. There is no exact vertex snapping, feature recognition, tolerance validation or CAD editing.
When a file does not open
Only STEP Part 21 files with renderable faces are supported. An empty, corrupt or wire-only file may not render. Files are limited to 50 MB; complex models also depend on device memory. Cancel a slow import and try a single part or smaller assembly.
Privacy
The viewer processes selected files in the browser and sends no model data to a server. Read the site's privacy policy.
